Starter template, example business
Example Business.
Every client website starts from this. Five pages, the owner's hours and phone everywhere they should be, a contact form that lands in their inbox, and nothing that tracks a visitor. The words and photos here are placeholders; the shape is what you would get.
What every site gets
- Home, services, gallery, about and contact. Fewer if you need fewer.
- Hours that say whether you are open right now, and a map that opens directions.
- A phone number that dials when tapped, on every page.
- A contact form that emails you. No account to log in to.
- Your hours, address and phone marked up so search engines show them next to your name.
- Under a second to load on a phone, because there is nothing in it that does not need to be.
Swap in your name, your colour, your photos and your words, and it is your site. That is the whole of the Business package.
Home
Who you are, where you are, one line on what you do, and two buttons: call, or send a message. Today's hours sit right under them.
The same page on a phone
Most visitors are on one. The buttons are thumb-sized, the number dials, and the page arrives in under a second on a weak signal.
Services
What you do, one short paragraph each, with a starting price if you want one shown. A menu works the same way for a restaurant or an ice cream stand.
Gallery
Drop photos in a folder and they appear. Phone photos are fine. Until there are photos, the page says so instead of showing stock images of someone else's work.
About
Your story in your words: how long you have been at it, who is behind it, what a customer can expect. A photo of you if you are willing.
Contact
Phone, address, hours and a map on the left; a message form on the right that goes straight to your inbox. The address and hours are also marked up for search engines.
